BIFA have revealed the finalists of their 29th annual Freight Service Awards with an Actualis client shortlisted for their work on the NFL Wembley match with New Era Cap.
Already a 2016 BIFA winner in the Extra Mile category for their ground-breaking eCommerce channel work with the Swedish fashion brand GANT, MIQ Logistics have been short-listed in the same category again in 2017 for its actions in support of the American headwear brand, New Era Cap (NEC).
The NFL have played a sell-out game in London for the last ten years and, for many teams, it is their most profitable game of the season, which include a large contribution from merchandise. New Era Cap are the official on-field headwear partner of the NFL.
So when NEC discovered that, due to an unprecedented vessel delay, their consignment of team caps for this year’s Miami Dolphins Vs New Orleans Saints match at Wembley were not going to arrive in time for the game, they turned to MIQ Logistics to make sure the teams had their hats when they ran onto the Wembley pitch in front of 85,000 fans and 15m viewers around the world.bifa
The Actualis drafted award submission detailed the actions taken by MIQ Logistics to intercept the delayed consignment en-route, locate the urgent caps and expedite their delivery in advance of kick-off by deploying their unique ‘Critical Freight audit’ process.
Selection as finalists in the 2017 BIFA Freight Service Awards follows short-listing for a Supply Chain Excellence Awards and earlier wins at BIFA in January and the Retail Week Supply Chain Awards in September.
