Client wins prestigious freight award

For the second time in three years Actualis has helped Noatum Logistics win the Air Cargo Services category, at the British International Freight Association’s (BIFA) Freight Service Awards.

BIFA is the trade body for the freight forwarding sector and their annual Freight Service awards are the most hotly-contested and respected, because they represent peer-to-peer recognition of excellence.

Noatum Logistics were shortlisted, in recognition of their work with Trinny London, in supporting the business growth and global expansion of one of Europe’s fastest-growing beauty brands during the pandemic.

The Actualis crafted award submission highlighted Noatum’s efficient lifting and consistent on-time delivery of air freight from Asia during the lockdown periods and the coordination of components and raw materials to factories in Italy, to support the successful launch of new product ranges in the UK and Europe.

The award judges were shown how, trough the initial Covid period up to the end of 2021, Noatum moved over 250,000kg of air freight using a blend of ambient and temperature-controlled scheduled, cargo and charter services to overcome the capacity shortages experienced during the pandemic.

Trinny London’s Australian launch brought further complexity in the form of regulatory and Customs processes specifically for holding and importing cosmetics into that country. Noatum guided Trinny through these step by step, and its local experts fast-tracked authorisations and product registrations.

Critical air freight shipments were completed on schedule and with no customs delays, ready to support the Australian launch.

With Actualis in attendance, Danielle Hales collected the award on behalf of Noatum Logistics, from footballing legend Kevin Keegan, at the central London award ceremony in January.
